STUDIUM: LAST ISSUE OF 2024

STUDIUM is a Journal of Philosophy and Theology published quarterly by the Dominican Province of Our Lady of the Rosary through its Institutes of Philosophy and Theology. The third and last issue of the year 2024 prints four interesting articles: two in Spanish and two in English. (The languages used by the province are Spanish and English.).

The first essay in Spanish is entitled ”El sacerdocio: una vocación para el servicio que puede terminar en desencanto, o peor aún." (The Priesthood: a Call to Service that May End up in Disenchantment, or Something Worse). Its author is Dr. Fr. Miguel Angel Medina Escudero, OP. &nbsp

The second article is in Spanish: “El concepto de obediencia en las Constituciones de la Orden de Predicadores de 1872.” (The Concept of Obedience in the Constitutions of the Order of Preachers of the Year 1872). The author is María Ascensión Matas Garcia. &nbsp

The title of the first article in English is "Dominican Mission: Preaching and Preachers” (La misión dominicana: predicación y predicadores). Author: Fausto Gomez Berlana OP.

The second essay in English is titled “Is it Possible to Think of God as Immutable in an Age of Vulnerability? Aquinas on God” (Is it possible to think of God as inmutable in an era of vulnerability?).

We are informed that our brother, Rodrigo Santiago Cedrún, passed away on February 12, 2025, in Avila. The funeral Mass will be held on 14 February (Friday), in the parish of Santo Tomás, Ávila.  Let us pray for his eternal repose. May the good Lord welcome his soul into his eternal kingdom of peace.
