On the 1st of July 2021, the celebration of the Holy Eucharist with the Simple Profession of ten novices at the hands of Brother Bonifacio García Solís, the Prior Provincial of the Province of Our Lady of the Rosary, took place in the Priory of St. Albert the Great, Hong Kong. The Prior Provincial presided over the Holy Eucharist and was concelebrated by the priests of the Priory of St. Albert the Great and the House of St Joseph.
As the pandemic situation improved in Hong Kong, guests were able to come to witness their profession among whom were the friends, acquaintances, and the English teachers of the novices.
A short word of thanksgiving on behalf of the ten novices was given by Brother Filipe who gave thanks to the formators and all those who have guided and accompanied them throughout their formation in the Novitiate and Pre-Novitiate. He also asked for prayers from everyone that all his co-novices may persevere in their vocation.
After the celebration, refreshments were offered to all present and it gave everybody the opportunity to socialise and also to take pictures to memorialise this pivotal moment in the lives of these new brothers.
The profession of vows is only the first step in the journey of the consecrated life and the brothers need the grace of God to persevere in their vocation. Please implore God and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary on behalf of these ten brothers that they may live out their vocation fully and faithfully in the spirit of St. Dominic and in the charism of the Order.
