Taiwan: Important Archaeological Discovery In Keelung.

It has been discovered a part of the bases of the Church of All Saints on the island of Heping, Keelung city, it was built by the Dominican friars of the Province Our Lady of the Rosary in the 17th century, in a mission associated with the Spanish colony in the period 1626-1642. Likewise, there were discovered inside and outside the church some human skeletons well-preserved, one of the skeletons could be from Fray Mateo Covisa, OP., the first religious Dominican to be buried there according to documentation from our Province.

The Spanish Professor José Borao initiated the investigation, which later archaeological teams from Taiwan and Spain have uncovered such an important archaeological discovery.
