November 4th was a historic day for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish located in Barinas, Venezuela because our brother Martín Contreras, OP has received the Ordination of Priests.

The celebration was presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Barinas, Monsignor José Luis Asuaje Ayala, and several Dominican priests and clergy of Barinas. The lay faithful of the parish and the various apostolic groups filled the temple to pray and accompany the new priest.

The celebration was sing by a parish choir with modern musical instruments that filled the celebration with joy. Before the final blessing the new Presbyter fr. Martin addressed a few words of gratitude to all those present for their company, prayer and collaboration for the realization of this important moment in his life.

The celebration ended with the traditional kisses hands to the new Presbyter Fr. Martín Contreras.
